That’s it our Investment Club have now opened an account and successfully transferred our portfolio from Interactive Investors to GHC Capital Markets. We’re now getting back to the ups, downs and fun of club investment.

Our Investment Club also gave up on Interactive Brokers IBKR after their less than helpful, confusing and tortuous account application service. We now have an LEI at the cost of £78 from the London Stock Exchange and we are progressing our Investment Club account application with GHC Capital Markets. I’ll update you as and when we hopefully progress.

Excellent John thank you. You have a lot of people awaiting your work’s results. You see me but there are 16 others in our Investment Club keenly watching too. Future ShareSoc members I’m hoping. Thanks again. Sandy

It is my understanding that our Banff Rotary Investment Club are consulting our members at our next month end meeting how we will proceed with the IBKR or CFM etc. I will let you know how we get on.

              Hi John

I agree with what you say regarding the size of the company but they are FCA registered. I would also be more comfortable with AJ Bell but I am struggling to see why they would want a business that the current holder doesn’t. None the less fingers crossed.
              Cheers

We may have found a broker for Investment Clubs in Capital Financial Markets. It’s not a big firm but here’s some details

CFM Investment Club dealing & custody service
CFM offer an Execution only dealing service for Investment Clubs.
You can trade in global shares that are listed on a recognised investment exchange and similarly virtually all investment funds so long as they are regulated.
You can place orders via telephone or email to our dealing desk.
                The charges are:
                £7 per trade
0.16% annual custody fee (for a £100,000 portfolio that equates to £160 annual custody charge)

                  02/09/2025 11:46:01
                  Good Morning
                  Secure messages
Thank you for your email. Unfortunately, AJ Bell do not currently offer a Dealing account for an Investment Club. That said,
we are aware 02/09/2025 12:35:04 of Interactive Investors (II) decision to cease offering these account types from Monday 27 October. Given the volume of
enquiries we have received on the matter we are collating key information to present to our Product Team to see if we would consider
offering this new account type, which if approved, would allow you to transfer this account over to AJ Bell. Whilst I cant make any guarantees at this stage, please can I kindly ask you to provide the below information as soon as possible:

                  · The approximate value of your Investment Club Dealing account
                  · How many members are involved in the Investment Club
                  · Whether every member has a unique login to access the account with II or if one member
is designated as the nominated contact for managing the account / receiving all communications
                  · Any other key information that you think would be useful to pass on, for example, the account set up with II, the
governance of the Investment Club or the initial account application process
If you can return the above information to me as soon as possible then Ill come back to you in due course to confirm
whether we can offer a solution for you.
                  Yours sincerely

We are in the same position with II closing down Investor Club services. To date we have only found iDealing to be offering Investor Club accounts
