Bioventix creates, manufactures and supplies high affinity sheep monoclonal antibodies (SMAs) for use in diagnostic applications. Bioventix antibodies are preferred for use when they confer an improved test performance compared to other available antibodies.
Most of Bioventix’s antibodies are used on blood-testing machines installed in hospitals and other laboratories around the world. Bioventix makes antibodies using its SMA technology for supply to diagnostic companies for subsequent manufacture into reagent packs used on blood-testing machines. These blood-testing machines are supplied by large multinational in vitro diagnostics (IVD) companies such as Roche Diagnostics, Siemens Healthineers, Abbott Diagnostics & Beckman Coulter. Odyssean Investment Trust plc (OIT)
Odyssean Investment Trust is a UK investment company whose shares are traded on the London Stock Exchange. Its investment objective is to achieve attractive total returns per share principally through capital growth over a longer-term period.
It has been managed since its 2018 IPO by Odyssean Capital LLP, an award-winning boutique fund manager, which focuses on investing in smaller quoted companies. OIT’s investment strategy is to manage a concentrated portfolio of small- and mid-cap companies that the Portfolio Manager identifies as undervalued, where it has identified scope for “self-help” to drive shareholder returns. The Portfolio Manager takes an engaged, long-term ownership approach to support portfolio companies to undertake strategic, operational, and/or governance improvements.
Presenter:
Edward Wielechowski, Partner
Edward is a Fund Manager at Odyssean Capital LLP in London, where he has worked since December 2017. He focuses on investing in small to mid-sized companies across both public and private markets, bringing a private equity philosophy to public market investments. As portfolio manager for the Odyssean Investment Trust, he co-manages a concentrated portfolio of well-researched UK smaller companies, typically outside the FTSE 250, aiming to deliver 15% annualised returns over five years by targeting businesses with transformation potential trading below intrinsic value. His approach emphasises mid- to long-term holding, quality assessment, and disciplined focus on £100m–£1bn market cap companies, differentiating from pure growth or value strategies.
