Launch Meeting for the New SIGnet Halifax / Bradford / Huddersfield Group

SIGnet is a national network of individual investor groups in the UK. Groups meet on a regular basis, typically monthly, to give individual investors the opportunity to socialise, discuss, and learn from each other. The main goal is to improve members’ knowledge and investment decision-making processes through free discussion and mutual education. We are launching a new group for those who are able to meet in the Halifax / Bradford / Huddersfield area
The plan is for the group to meet monthly on Monday afternoons, with some flexibility based on the availability of those interested in joining. Meetings are expected to last about 2 hours, with the venue depending on the location of potential members.
The Convener will be Tom Stanley. Tom is a friendly and warm chap, and a passionate investor in UK and US shares. He has extensive experience identifying future growth opportunities through looking at wider economic and consumer trends. His experience spans the investing spectrum – including dividend payers, ETFs, investment trusts and growth shares. He is also a keen believer in financial education, with experience supporting those seeking to enhance their investing knowledge.
The group is anticipated to cover a wide range of investment topics and styles including: large and small companies, dividend payers, value and growth companies, and Investment Trusts. The main focus will be UK shares, but views on US and other international shares will also be welcome. The approach will mainly be fundamental, but participation from those who use technical analysis is very welcome.

This launch meeting is open to anyone. If not already a member, you will need to join SIGnet to attend subsequent meetings.
Places in the new group are limited. Priority goes to members who register for SIGnet within 5 days of the launch meeting and aren’t in other groups. Remaining spots will be given to SIGnet/Premium members on a first-come, first-served basis*. If the group is full, we’ll add you to a waiting list and may start another group if a volunteer Convener is available.

*SIGnet members can join up to two groups if there are vacancies. Priority is given to those who haven’t reached their limit. To join more than two groups, please email your request to info@sharesoc.org for the Head of SIGnet’s attention.
