The Convener of the new Group will be Leon Boros. Leon is a chartered accountant and former corporate financier. He has been an active investor since his mid-teens. He and his wife set up PEPs in 1993 (a predecessor to the ISA) and they have since achieved annualised returns of over 16.5%.
Leon and his wife moved to West Sussex three years ago. Although he still meets fellow private investors and companies in London, he wanted the opportunity to meet local investors face to face, so approached SIGnet to help him set up a local group.
Leon is a regular speaker at private investor events and was previously a director of ShareSoc, championing the rights of private investors. In 2016 he wrote an ebook, published by ShareSoc, entitled, “Ten key investing lessons from an ISA Millionaire”.
