BT Group has invited us to a meeting that will allow ShareSoc & UKSA members to meet Investor Relations and receive a presentation followed by Q&A.
In the UK, BT is a leading communications services provider, selling products and services to consumers, small and medium sized enterprises and the public sector. They also sell wholesale products and services to communications providers in the UK and around the world. Globally, BT supplies managed networked IT services to multinational corporations, domestic businesses and national and local government organisations.
The company’s investment case is based on continued network leadership and delivering great customer experiences. To drive sustainable growth in value, BT has accelerated investment to deliver: the best converged network; a differentiated customer experience; and a simplified, lean and agile business. While the company has indicated short term pressures on earnings, they expect to maintain their dividend, and remain committed to their dividend policy, which is to maintain or grow dividend each year whilst reflecting a number of factors, including underlying medium term earnings expectations and levels of business reinvestment.
