Launch Meeting for New Cambridge Group

SIGnet is a national network of individual investor groups in the UK. Groups meet on a regular basis (in-person or online), typically monthly, to give individual investors the opportunity to socialise, discuss, and learn from each other. The main goal is to improve members’ knowledge and investment decision-making processes through free discussion and mutual education. We are launching a new in-person group for those who are able to meet in Cambridge
An online meeting has been arranged to launch the group and this will take place at 2pm on Wednesday 23rd July 2025.
Roger Billsdon has kindly offered to convene the group. He brings a background in engineering and, alongside two partners, founded and ran a small computer-aided design and software development company for over 40 years. Their clients included organisations in the defence, nuclear, motor sport and automotive sectors across the UK, Europe and the USA.
Roger has been an active member of SIGnet for the past three years. His current interests include stock screening, analysing company financials and strategies—primarily for UK stocks—and selecting ETFs based on price momentum. He has developed several prototype programs to process and analyse data exported from ShareScope, and is currently exploring the use of machine learning algorithms.
Investors of all styles and experience are welcome to join this new group. The time, frequency and location of meetings will be discussed at the Zoom meeting on 23rd July.
This launch meeting is open to anyone. If not already a member, you will need to join SIGnet to attend subsequent meetings.
Places in the new group are limited. Priority goes to members who register for SIGnet within 5 days of the launch meeting and aren’t in other groups. Remaining spots will be given to SIGnet/Premium members on a first-come, first-served basis*. If the group is full, we’ll add you to a waiting list and may start another group if a volunteer Convener is available.

Once you have registered you will receive an email notification, as well a reminder 1 day before the event starts. The email includes a link to add a calendar reminder for the meeting. We recommend that you do this.
*SIGnet members can join up to two groups if there are vacancies. Priority is given to those who haven’t reached their limit. To join more than two groups, please email your request to info@sharesoc.org for the Head of SIGnet’s attention.
