Join us on 30th of April for our next London Hybrid Event. This event will consist of an in-person seminar in London, which will also be streamed live (and recorded), allowing members to watch virtually.

Each company will present for 25 minutes and then take your questions for another 15 minutes. All attendees (whether attending in-person or virtually) will be able to ask questions and those attending the seminar will be able to network with company directors and fellow investors over drinks and a buffet.

Central Asia Metals (CAML)

Central Asia Metals, an AIM-quoted UK company based in London, owns 100% of the Kounrad SX-EW copper project in central Kazakhstan and 100% of the Sasa zinc-lead mine in North Macedonia. The Company also owns an 80% interest in CAML Exploration, a subsidiary formed to progress early-stage exploration opportunities in Kazakhstan, and a 28.4% interest in Aberdeen Minerals Ltd, a privately-owned UK company focused on the exploration and development of base metals opportunities in northeast Scotland.

Gavin Ferrar, Chief Executive Officer
Gavin has over 25 years’ experience in the mining sector. He began his career in the industry with Anglo American, initially in target generation and due diligence, and subsequently in Greenfields exploration and project management of a feasibility study on a gold project. He then spent eleven years in London’s investment banking sector in debt financing, derivatives and equity investments across the mining sector with Barclays Capital and Investec. Gavin joined the Company in June 2014 as Business Development Director, was appointed CFO in April 2018 and held this position for six years before being appointed CEO in October 2024.

Custodian Property Income REIT (CREI)

Custodian Property Income REIT aims to be the choice for private and institutional investors seeking high and stable dividends from well-diversified UK real estate. They provide access to a diversified portfolio of over 150, regional, UK commercial properties in an institutional grade package, to benefit from high, risk adjusted, income returns. Dividends of 6.00 pence per share are fully covered by earnings.

Richard Shepherd-Cross, Investment Manager, Custodian Property Income REIT, and Managing Director, Custodian Capital
Richard qualified as a chartered surveyor in 1995, and following 10 years at JLL, joined Mattioli Woods in 2009 to establish Custodian Capital as the property fund management subsidiary to the group.
In 2014 he was instrumental in the establishment of Custodian Property Income REIT plc and following the successful initial public offering, he has overseen the growth of the company to its current market capitalisation.
Richard was also central to the establishment of a new business line for Custodian Capital, which offers real estate private equity investments to the high-net-worth clients of Mattioli Woods.

Nick Clark- CEO
Nick Clark is Chief Executive of Built Cybernetics plc (AUK:BUC), the PropTech group using AI to reshape the future of the built environment. The Group was formed when AIM-listed architecture firm Aukett Swanke Group plc acquired technology systems integrator Torpedo Factory Group. Three further acquisitions have followed.
Nick founded TFG in 1997 and has grown it through a combination of acquisitions and organic growth. Nick is also a non-executive director at Acuity RM Group plc, the AIM-quoted provider of cybersecurity risk management software.
Prior to starting TFG, Nick studied physics at Imperial College, followed by an MPhil in Microelectronic Engineering and Semiconductor Physics at the University of Cambridge.

Freddie Jenner FCCA
Freddie Jenner was appointed Chief Operating Officer of Aukett Swanke Group Plc on 26 June 2023. He joined the group in March 2023 following the acquisition of Torpedo Factory Group, where he served as Chief Financial Officer since 2012. Freddie had joined that business in 2007 and worked with Nick to develop the business through a combination of acquisitions and organic growth.
Prior to joining TFG Freddie worked briefly in practice, following completion of a Mathematics and Actuarial Studies degree from the University of Southampton.

Asset Match Limited

Asset Match is a leading online marketplace for shares in UK private companies. Private companies can now create liquidity in their shares in a fair and transparent way. This is becoming increasingly relevant to ShareSoc members as more and more companies choose to delist, with minority individual shareholders forced to choose between immediate exit or staying with an unlisted holding. Through regular online auctions company provides owners of shares in private businesses a way to exit and gives sophisticated investors access to investment opportunities in the untapped private company market.
