This particular group is structured as a course, running for up to 9 months, with a launch event being held on 28th September, and the regular meetings starting in October 2026.
The Intermediates Group will be for those who already have some experience of investing, but want to develop their knowledge of analysing companies, investment strategies and building and managing a portfolio. The Conveners will be Sam Morland, a retired fund manager and Convener of the Central London and London Tuesday Evening Groups, Mark Woolhouse, owner of a financial training company and Convener of the Harpenden Group, and Greg Mayes, ex Head of Financial Markets Training at Barclays Investment Bank and Mark’s business partner.

- Screens
- Portfolio theory / management
- The investing game
- Information Sources
- Do’s and Don’t’s
- Investment Trusts and Exchange Traded Funds
