Our meetings are based around members’ interests and cover both the fundamental and technical analysis of shares. Broadly, the aim is to share investment ideas, methodologies and any other investment related topics. Chairing of the meeting is rotated and typical agenda items include:
- Deep dive on a company including financials, business model, bull and bear points
- Methods used to select shares, investment trusts and ETFs
- The use of ShareScope, Stockopedia, internet resources etc
- Stock screens
- Book reviews
- Portfolio construction
- Recent trades
The group welcomes investors of all experience levels – from beginners to advanced.
Venue & Timings
We are a new group, currently finalising meeting location and timings. Meetings will probably be held at 6:30pm on the first Wednesday of each month at the Cottenham Community Centre, possibly followed by a visit to a nearby pub. The Community Centre has a projector suitable for presentations and is able to provide sandwiches, tea and coffee. The cost of hiring the room and refreshments will be approximately £16 per person.
