- Majedie Investments plc (MAJE): The company operates as an investment trust and an alternative investment fund (AIF). Majedi invests principally in securities of publicly quoted companies around the world. The company’s portfolio includes sectors such as basic materials, consumer goods, consumer services, financials, healthcare, industrials, oil and gas, technology, telecommunications and utilities.
- S&U plc (SUS): Based in Birmingham, S&U provides motor finance and specialist lending service. The Company’s subsidiary, Advantage Finance Limited (Advantage Finance) offers motor finance to over 100,000 customers in the United Kingdom.
- Caledonia Mining Corporation plc (CMCL): profitable and dividend paying gold miner. Investors may wish to consider exposure to gold in times of political uncertainty. The company is also listed on the New York Stock Exchange’s small-cap market.
These events consist of a 25 minute presentation by each company followed by 15 minutes of questions and answers. Companies presenting are interesting growth companies of small/medium cap size. Refreshments and a buffet are provided free of charge to Full ShareSoc Members but there is a charge for others and you get the opportunity to talk directly to the directors of the presenting companies. This is also a great opportunity to socialise with your fellow investors and discuss these and other investment opportunities. These seminars are open to anyone with an interest in stock market investing.

Event registration opens at 5.00 pm and presentations commence at 5.30 pm. Please do not arrive before 5.00pm, for security reasons you will not be admitted to the building before that time.
